U13 Pairs v Coseley 6 May 2012

Wombourne v Brockhampton 10-9-11

  Wombourne produced an excellent performance against a Brockhampton side who had hoped to wrap up promotion to the Premier League. Wombourne won the toss and elected to bowl first on a wicket which looked to favour the bowlers, however 543 runs later it just goes to show looks can be deceptive! Coventry and North Warwicks v Wombourne 29-8-11

A superb stand of 186 for the third wicket by former Atherstone duo Matt Pickering (124) and Luke Reeves (101) boosted Coventry & N.W. to an impressive 287 all out against Wombourne, who responded with 238 for eight. Wombourne, who defeated Evesham by 152 runs. Karl Quiney (100) Dan Bassett (46) and a corruscating 71 not out from 34 balls, including 8 x 4’s and 4 x 6’s from Liam Hughes enabled Wombourne to declare on 322 for six, after 51 overs before Steven Howard stepped up to take 5 for 65 as Evesham crumbled to 170 all out.
