A superb stand of 186 for the third wicket by former Atherstone duo Matt Pickering (124) and Luke Reeves (101) boosted Coventry & N.W. to an impressive 287 all out against Wombourne, who responded with 238 for eight. Adam Quiney and Matt Briggs picked up three wickets apiece for Wombourne and Karl Quiney continued his run-laden season with 92 but Wombourne’s outside chance of promotion became even more remote thanks to Pickering and Reeves.
